It was great catching up with Kaitlyn and Dave, whom I met way back when they were teenagers. Seeing how much they've grown since then was amazing, and I was thrilled to meet their three adorable daughters. When we chatted about their family photo session, Kaitlyn suggested we check out the Lakewood Forest Preserve in Wauconda, and I was all for it!

Before the shoot, I explored the area and was blown away by how gorgeous it was. The golden hour light was breathtaking, giving everything around us a warm and welcoming glow.

As we walked along the path during their shoot, I spotted some Queen Anne's Lace flowers and couldn't resist using the field for a second location. The wildflowers danced in the gentle breeze like something out of Narnia! I was super proud of how the family portraits turned out in that setting. Some of my all-time FAVORITES!

When the sun started to set, we headed over to the fence posts near the pond, and I managed to snap a few last shots before the light disappeared completely.

Kaitlyn and Dave, catching up with you again was so wonderful! Your girls are absolutely precious, and I feel honored to capture these beautiful summer memories of your family for you! Now sit back and enjoy. Your sneak peek is LIVE!

Meeks family, thank you for having me!! It was an absolute pleasure hanging out with you and your beautiful family!! I hope you love these images as much as I do. I can't wait to share the rest in the coming weeks!
