This past Sunday, I had the pleasure of photographing a truly stunning bridal shower for the lovely bride-to-be, Sia, and her fiancé, Keith. The event was a charming beginning to their upcoming wedding on September 8th, which will take place at a gorgeous resort in California.
Sia's bridal shower was held at the Concorde Banquets in Kildeer, IL. The setting was truly magical, all thanks to Gina, Sia’s sister, who meticulously planned and decorated the entire event. Gina’s creativity and attention to detail were evident in every corner of the room, from the charming centerpieces to the beautifully decorated dessert table. She even baked most of the delicious sweets herself, showcasing her impressive baking and decorating skills. One of Gina's standout creations was a stunning floral photo backdrop, which became an instant favorite among the guests. This beautiful backdrop provided a perfect setting for capturing joyful moments and group photos, adding an extra touch of elegance and fun to the event.
I share a special connection with Gina, having met her through Katie and George when I photographed their baby shower back in March. It was wonderful to see Katie and her sweet daughter, Nia, again at the bridal shower, along with their newest precious addition, baby Ava.
Before the guests arrived, I had the chance to pull Sia and Keith aside for some intimate couple's portraits. It was the perfect opportunity to capture their love and excitement against the beautiful backdrop of the venue. These portraits perfectly capture their joy and anticipation as they look forward to their big day.
